Garment care

Eco-printed items, especially those made from silk and cotton, are unique and carefully crafted, requiring special attention when it comes to care. By properly maintaining these products, you ensure that their colors and texture remain beautiful and durable for a long time.

1. Daily Habits and Storage

Storage: Store eco-printed items in a cool, dry place, avoiding direct sunlight, which can cause colors to fade. Ideally, use cotton or linen bags to protect the fabric from dust and dirt.
Ventilation: Avoid keeping items in closed wardrobes or plastic bags for long periods. Let them breathe by occasionally hanging them in a well-ventilated space with fresh air circulation.
Moisture Control: Fabrics, especially silk, are sensitive to moisture, so avoid excessive humidity. Do not store these items in damp or highly humid environments to prevent mold growth.

2. Washing

Hand Washing: It is recommended to hand wash eco-printed items to preserve color intensity and fabric quality. Use cool or lukewarm water (no higher than 30°C).
Detergents: Use only mild, eco-friendly soap or liquid detergent that does not contain bleach or harsh chemicals. Avoid regular laundry detergents, as they may damage the colors.
Rinsing: After washing, thoroughly rinse the item in cool water to remove all soap residues. Ensure the water is clear and free of any soap traces.
Drying: Never wring the fabric forcefully to prevent color bleeding and fabric deformation. Gently remove excess water by pressing the item between towels.

3. Drying

Avoid Direct Sunlight: Do not dry eco-printed items in direct sunlight, as UV rays can cause colors to fade. Dry them in the shade, preferably laid flat on a towel or a smooth surface to maintain their shape.
Do Not Hang While Wet: Avoid hanging wet items on a hanger, as this can stretch the fabric, especially if it is silk.

4. Ironing

Ironing Silk: Use the lowest heat setting (silk mode) and iron only from the inside of the fabric. To protect it from direct heat exposure, place a slightly damp cloth between the iron and the silk item.
Ironing Cotton: Cotton can be ironed at a medium temperature. It is also recommended to iron from the inside to preserve the vibrancy of the eco-print colors.
Avoid Steam: When ironing silk, avoid using the steam function, as it may cause unwanted stains or color changes.

Additional Tips

  • Cleaning Products: Never use bleach, stain removers, or chemical cleaners on eco-printed items.

  • Stain Removal: If a stain appears, gently remove it with cold water and a mild, natural soap solution. Never rub the fabric vigorously.

  • Regular Care: Even if the item isn’t dirty, it’s good to occasionally wash it lightly to refresh the fabric and prevent sweat or dust buildup.

By properly caring for eco-printed silk and cotton items, you’ll preserve their beauty and durability, allowing you to enjoy the magic of these unique fabrics for longer.
